The Purpose & Scope section defines why the NWAF™ Governance Framework exists and the boundaries within which it operates. It ensures that every organisation, tribunal, regulator and internal user understands:

  • the outcomes it is designed to deliver

 

The purpose of NWAF™ governance is to:

  • provide a clear, consistent and authoritative national framework

  • protect the integrity of workplace adjustments

  • ensure accountability across all roles and processes

  • support fair, lawful and transparent decision making

  • maintain a stable, founder‑led governance structure

  • ensure accessibility, clarity and compliance at all times

The Scope defines what the governance framework covers and what it does not cover. It ensures that users understand the boundaries of the system and how it should be applied.

This governance framework covers:

  • all NWAF™ governance principles, standards and rules

  • the 23 governance sections and their interdependencies

  • roles and responsibilities across governance functions

  • decision‑making processes and escalation routes

  • oversight, assurance and audit requirements

  • accessibility, legal and compliance obligations

  • version control, ownership and approval rules

  • organisational adoption and implementation guidance

This governance framework does not cover:

  • operational HR policies unrelated to workplace adjustments

  • organisation‑specific internal procedures

  • medical assessments or clinical decision making

  • employment law advice outside the NWAF™ model

  • non‑NWAF™ workplace adjustment systems
